The dispatch services we provide, and how each one works in practice.
Three disciplines, one coordinated response. Every call is handled by a certified telecommunicator using nationally recognized protocols.

Protocols
All police calls are run through Emergency Police Dispatch (EPD) protocols. Telecommunicators are APCO 7th Edition certified and trained for active shooter, domestic violence, and crisis situations.

- Choking response
- Bleeding control
- Childbirth assist
- Overdose response
- Stroke / cardiac triage
Why it matters
The few minutes between a 911 call and the arrival of responders are often the most consequential. Protocol‑driven EMD, done calmly on the phone, saves lives.
For any non‑emergency question, call us directly.
For past‑incident reports, civil matters, or general questions about the district's services, call the non‑emergency line at (334) 848‑0001. In a life‑threatening situation, always dial 911.
